Dead to Rights II is a sequel to the first game and follows Jack Slate as he teams up with his K9 Dog, Shadow, to take down the criminal underground in Grant City. The main focus of the game is on Jack taking down crime after the kidnapping of a judge, uncovering a city full of corruption and betrayal.
The gameplay features a 360-degree fighting system, where players can use Shadow to attack enemies in real-time while taking down other enemies. This system allows for slow-motion combat, similar to the Max Payne series and The Matrix movie. Players must manage Slate's K9's stamina bar, as its effectiveness depends on its energy levels.
The game includes a variety of weapons such as rocket launchers, grenades, and Molotov cocktails, adding to the action-packed experience. While minigames are not essential to the game, they still provide an additional layer of gameplay.
