Conflict: Denied Ops is a first-person action game where you play as Lincoln Graves, a 47-year-old ex-Special Forces sniper, and Reggie Lang, a former FBI-heavy weapons specialist. Your mission is to prevent a third-world dictatorship from gaining nuclear weapons. Your character's upgrades are crucial to deal with hordes of bad guys across three continents. You'll have access to various types of weapons, including pistols, snipers, machine guns, rocket launchers, and grenades. As you complete missions, you can earn upgrades for your weapons, such as allowing Graves' 7.62m Sniper Rifle to fire around corners or over low cover.
Since Lang and Graves are a team, you can switch between them at any time and give orders to the AI-controlled comrade, including simple tasks like "Follow Me" or "Cover Me". You can also complete objectives solo or bring your character back into the game when he takes too much damage.
The health system is similar to Clive Barker's Jericho , where characters heal automatically once they stop taking damage. When a character takes too much damage, he'll go down and need to wait for his teammate to revive him. The game ends when both Lang and Graves are down at the same time.
The game includes various vehicles that you can drive to run over bad guys or blow them up.
Conflict: Denied Ops offers cooperative multiplayer gameplay, where one player takes on Lang while the other plays as Graves. There are several other multiplayer modes available for up to 16 players, including Deathmatch and Conquest.
