Darkness

The game features a mix of regular first-person shooting and supernatural powers granted to Jackie by the Darkness. This force can only be used in dark environments, and its effects are limited when light is present. Players can switch between using their own abilities and those of The Darkness during gameplay, which allows for unique combat experiences.

The game takes place across various locations, including modern-day New York City and the fictional Otherworld and Hell. As Jackie struggles to maintain control over his body, The Darkness manifests itself as a voice in his head, feeding on dark energy and requiring a human host to survive.
