The Darkness

When Jackie Estacado is cursed with supernatural powers on his 21st birthday, he becomes a target for both the Mafia and an ancient evil. With the ability to wield "The Darkness," a malevolent force that grants him incredible abilities, Jackie must navigate a dark world of magic and mayhem.

Players control Jackie as he switches between using conventional firearms and tapping into The Darkness, unleashing its terrifying powers. In well-lit areas, these abilities are hindered by the limitations of darkness. However, in darker environments, Jackie can harness both powers to devastating effect. With a range of darkling minions, tentacles, and guns firing lightning bolts at his command, the player must exploit this duality to succeed.

The Darkness takes place across multiple realms, including modern-day New York City and the fantastical Otherworld and Hell. As Jackie struggles to maintain control over his body, The Darkness exerts its influence, fueling itself on the darkness within. With no clear victory in sight, Jackie must confront his own demons and face the evil head-on.
