This collection bundles two games by Team Ico that were previously released for the PlayStation 3 platform:

ICO (2001)

Shadow of the Colossus (2005)

Both games are stored on a single Blu-ray disc and have been remastered for high-definition resolutions. The ICO version included is based on the original, enhanced European version, which includes Yorda's translation and a cooperative two-player mode. Other additional features include:

Two dynamic XMB themes based on scenes from both games

Support for stereoscopic 3D and the Dualshock 3 wireless controller

PlayStation trophies

Five behind-the-scenes videos featuring the making of both games and a sneak peek at the then-upcoming Team Ico game The Last Guardian

The story follows Ico, a young boy who is trapped in a mysterious castle and must guide a girl named Yorda through various trials to escape. Along the way, they uncover dark secrets about their pasts.

The gameplay involves exploration and puzzle-solving as Ico navigates the castle and interacts with the environment and other characters. The Shadow of the Colossus portion features a similar blend of exploration and combat, but against giant creatures known as Colossi.

Targeted at a mature audience, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection is an excellent addition to any PS3 game library.

The collection was released on 27 September 2011 for the PlayStation 3 console.
