ATP Tour Championship Tennis , a tennis game released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis, is a sequel to Wimbledon Championships . The game features 32 top players from the ATP tour, including Pete Sampras and John McEnroe, as well as six other seniors. Players can also create their own four-player team for the ATP Tour Mode , where they can develop their skills by competing in tournaments.
The gameplay is simple, with a 3-button layout that allows players to lob, pass, or hit top spin shots using the A, B, and C buttons respectively. The directional pad affects the direction and depth of the shot. Players can also compete in three game modes: Exhibition match, Exhibition Tournament, ATP Senior Tour Event, and the ATP Tour , where they can create a player and develop their skills by winning tournaments.
