You play as Riki, whose beautiful girlfriend Kyoko has been kidnapped. To rescue her, you must fight your way through a massive army of enemies. With no guns allowed, you'll need to rely on your martial arts skills to take them down. The bad guys are equipped with everything from whips and knives to swords and flamethrowers.
Black Belt is a side-scrolling beat'em up that's split into seven chapters. Each chapter brings new challenges as you fight against Chinese Kung Fu men, wrestlers, jujitsu men, eagles, ninjas, and black women. The enemies you face in the first half of each chapter will change halfway through, adding some variety to the gameplay.
Defeating bosses at the end of each chapter is crucial to progress. However, be warned: losing energy means losing a life. Fortunately, you can restore energy by picking up cakes that appear on screen or defeating mid-air enemies for a bonus. With persistence and skill, you'll overcome the challenges and rescue Kyoko.
