The fourth addition to the Bomberman series for the Super Famicom , this game is almost identical to Super Bomberman 3, only with new levels and a new story. Players take on the role of one of several characters, including bosses from previous games in battle mode.
A unique twist in this game is that instead of choosing traditional bombermen or country-specific characters, players get to choose between these boss characters when playing battle mode. Each character has a special power, such as a jet pack or throwing abilities.
