The story of Acrobat Mission takes place in space, where humanity has left Earth due to pollution. A mechanical moon has appeared and is destroying the Martian colonies. To stop it, a mission is launched to destroy the moon's fleet and its armada of spacecraft. The task is deemed impossible, so the mission code-named Acrobat Mission is put into action.

The gameplay involves navigating your spaceship through levels set in space. You can upgrade your ship with different abilities, such as shooting straight ahead or charging up energy to unleash a cone of fire. Upgrades also allow you to store bullets and defend yourself with defensive shields. The goal is to reach the moon's base and destroy its core, while avoiding enemy ships that can push you into harm's way.

The game consists of five levels, each with unique challenges and enemies. You'll face a range of bosses at the end of each level, with stage four featuring three opponents to defeat.
