Pimp My Ride is based on the MTV series of the same name, where people modify their cars with custom parts. The show's host, Xzibit, lends players his car at the start, and they must navigate a five-borough area called 'Pimp City' to earn money and buy their own vehicle.
As players pimp their ride, Xzibit provides guidance. Once the car is fully customized, it becomes possible to drive through Pimp City freely, earning cash and completing challenges and races to advance in the game.
