Constantine is based on the movie starring Keanu Reeves, where the player assumes the role of Constantine, a mage/exorcist/demonslayer. The story follows Constantine as he tries to discover how and why Demons have entered Earth, defying ancient laws that forbid it. He must navigate through hellish realms to progress.

The gameplay is action-oriented, with Constantine using various weapons such as twin revolvers, holy water bombs, and the cross shotgun. He can also use magic powered by demon souls. The game takes a linear approach, following most of the movie's story while adding some extra sections for more action. Hidden cards in levels can unlock additional content like cutscene animatics and interviews with the film's stars.
