Minecraft is a console adaptation of the popular sandbox game, offering a world where players can build their own creations with blocks of different materials. In this version, players can explore, build, craft, fight, and set their own goals in either creative or survival mode. The creative mode allows for unlimited resources and safety, while survival mode adds enemies that can attack the player and their creations.
Minecraft features a tutorial mode, simplifying the crafting system by displaying the required blocks and creating items automatically if necessary. Local split-screen multiplayer allows up to four players to join a game, while an 8-player multiplayer option is also available. The difficulty level cannot be changed within a world but can be adjusted before starting it.
The Minecraft Xbox 360 version offers largely identical gameplay to the PC version, with the exception of differences in skin and texture packs as downloadable content (DLC). Some DLCs are platform-specific, offering unique features and customization options.
