Supreme Commander pits three factions - the Cybran Nation, the Aeon Illuminate, and the United Earth Federation - against each other in a galactic war. The player takes on one of these sides, aiming to bring an end to the conflict.
The game features a range of units and structures, led by a commander unit that handles base construction. Players can queue up commands and use dual-screen support for a clearer view of the battlefield. With a unit cap of 500 per side, Supreme Commander offers a challenging strategy experience.
Players can engage in a campaign to advance the story or compete against computer opponents in skirmish mode. Multiplayer options include human opponents over Xbox Live, with modes such as King of the Hill and Command Point available for up to four players.
The Supreme Commander Xbox 360 edition introduces redesigned controls and a user interface, with circular controls replacing shortcuts and buttons. The game also features new units, updated maps, and additional multiplayer modes.
