The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a sequel to The Book of Unwritten Tales and its prequel, The Critter Chronicles . The game was funded by a crowd funding campaign through Kickstarter.
A magical plague is taking over the human world, while Wilbur Whethervane takes up his new job as a teacher at the mage school and Ivo feels unwell for the first time in her life. Meanwhile, Nate the pirate captain and his sidekick Critter try to steal a magic artifact while mysterious forces seem to be conspiring against Alistair. The group eventually teams up once again to stop the magical plague and save the world from destruction. The game uses classic point-and-click adventure game mechanics.
The gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle-solving, and interaction with characters and objects in the environment.
