Assassin's Creed: Revelations Special Edition is set in 1511, during a tumultuous period of Ottoman Empire expansion. The game follows Aza , an experienced Assassin, who seeks the help of Haytham to stop the Templar Order from acquiring the Holy Grail.

The gameplay revolves around combat and exploration, with a focus on parkour and freerunning mechanics similar to those in previous Assassin's Creed titles. Players control Aza , navigating through ancient Ottoman cities, such as Constantinople, and battling against enemy forces. The game also features a new "Paradox" system, which allows players to manipulate time and relive certain moments to change the course of events.
