The world of Puchi Carat has been shaken by a group of thieves who stole the twelve gems that made people's dreams come true, selling them to evil sorcerers who used them to suppress the population. Now, years later, these mysterious characters have acquired the remaining jewels, each with their own motivation - some seek peace, while others desire power.
Puchi Carat takes inspiration from the classic arcade game Breakout. The player controls a ball launched from a cursor that can only move horizontally on the bottom of the screen. The objective is to clear rows of gems as they fall, but be warned - new rows will appear if you fail to catch them.
The single-player mode offers four variations: trial mode requires destroying a set amount of rows to progress, while story mode pits you against the computer in a split-screen format. You can also choose from three different attack patterns and compete for the fastest time or highest number of rows destroyed in rapid mode.
Playing against a human opponent is also possible, with adjustable difficulty levels and handicaps. The player who wins the most rounds will be declared the winner of the multiplayer match.
