The Knight of Lodis is the fourth US release in the Ogre Battle series. The game follows Alphonse, a young knight from the Holy Lodis Empire, who is sent to investigate a series of unusual events on the island of Ovis. As he delves deeper into the mystery, Alphonse begins to question his loyalty and purpose as a knight, drawing him into an epic battle.
Tactics Ogre features squad-based and turn-based gameplay similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. The game is largely composed of combat, with RPG elements present but playing a secondary role. Players can enjoy the main campaign, versus mode, Quest mode, where objectives must be completed within a set number of turns to earn rare items, or trade characters and items with other players using a link cable.
