NBA Hoopz is a basketball game that brings back the classic arcade feel of older Midway games. You'll be able to play as your favorite NBA teams and players, competing in three-on-three matches. The game also features mini-games like Around the World and 21, adding some variety to the gameplay.
The gameplay itself is simple yet challenging, requiring quick reflexes and strategy to outmaneuver your opponents. You'll need to dribble, pass, and shoot the ball to score points and win games. The game also features a variety of power-ups and special moves that can give you an edge over your opponents.

Tips & Maps
LOADING & SAVING GAMES
To use Load/Save features, a Memory card must be in Slot 1. The game automatically saves customized options, Teams, Players, Season, and Tournament data after each SEASON or TOURNAMENT game.
LOAD
Select this option to continue a saved season. Data will be loaded, allowing you to resume your SEASON or TOURNAMENT.
SAVE
Manually save data not automatically saved, such as Controller Configuration changes, or use it as a safeguard before powering down or quitting NBA Hoopz.
AUTOSAVE
Choose to automatically save game data like records and created players. A Memory card must be inserted before and during play for this option to work.
HARD CONTACT
Press Turbo and Pass Button to attempt to knock the ball loose from an opponent, potentially creating a turnover. Be careful, as 5 fouls will send your opponent to the Free Throw line.
THE ALLEY OOP!
As you drive toward your net, press the Pass Button when a teammate jumps high and flashes in the air to dish the ball for a slam dunk. To go up yourself, press Turbo and the Shoot Button together.
HEAD FAKE
With your feet planted, quickly tap the Shoot Button to perform a head fake, which can cause an opponent to mis-time their block attempt.
CLEARING OUT
If you're held up and need to pass or shoot, quickly tap the Turbo Button to grasp the ball hard and throw elbows, making it harder for your opponent to steal the ball.
SPIN MOVE
While dribbling, quickly tap the Turbo Button twice to execute a spin move.
THE DOUBLE DUNK
The ball carrier presses the Pass Button to dish to a flashing teammate behind them, who has pressed Turbo and Shoot Button to jump high toward the net, allowing both players to drive hard to the hoop for a score.
BLOCKING SHOTS
Time an opponent's shot attempt, step in front, and press the Shoot Button to block; for high shots, press Shoot Button and Turbo Button together to greet them above the rim.
SHOOTING FREE THROWS
When at the free throw line, press the button when the accuracy gauge's arrow reaches the center to make the shot; the closer to the center, the higher your accuracy.
TIP
A player's position indicates their best skills: Guards and Forwards excel at 3-pointers, Centers get more rebounds and are harder to clear out, and Forwards drive higher for exciting dunks.
