Ratchet & Clank: Maru Hi Mission Ignition is set on the peaceful planet of Veldin, but things take a dark turn when the duo discovers that an alien warlord has stolen the world's most valuable resource, causing widespread destruction and chaos. The Technomites, a genius race of inventors, are brought back to life to help Ratchet & Clank stop the warlord and restore balance to Veldin.
The gameplay is fast-paced 3D action platforming with RPG-like elements. Players can upgrade their arsenal with new weapons and mods, similar to other titles in the series. The duo can also collect armor pieces and mix them to create unique sets, granting extra abilities. Minigames like hovercraft races, Giant Clank's space battles, and battle robot arenas add variety to the gameplay.
Multiplayer is supported through Wi-Fi Ad Hoc or Infrastructure with 4 game modes: DeathMatch, Team DeathMatch, Capture the Flag, and Iron Lombox Challenge. Players can compete in various objectives, such as loading cows into a meat truck or collecting power cells for their team.
