Mangia is a classic Atari 2600 game released in 1983. You play as Mama, who brings pasta to the table. Your goal is to either eat the pasta, toss it to Frankie the cat when he's at the window, or toss it to Sergio the dog when he's under the table.
You have four lives, and you must be careful not to eat too much pasta or leave it on the table for too long. Eating more than 20 plates of pasta will make you burst and lose a life, while leaving more than 9 plates on the table will cause it to collapse and take another life away.
The gameplay is simple: move the joystick to the right to eat pasta, or to the right and up/down in one smooth motion to toss it to a pet. Be sure to throw when Mama's back is turned and your target is in position, as throwing food at the wrong time will result in extra plates being brought next time around.
Each level requires you to clear a certain number of plates of pasta to progress. The point value of each plate increases by one point per level, starting from 5 points at level 1 and reaching a maximum of 13 points at level 9. You'll also earn extra lives for every 1,000 points reached, up to a total of nine lives.
