Imagine embarking on a perilous journey to retrieve stolen treasures from the castle of the Evil Master, accompanied by your friends who are unable to defend themselves. Armed with a crossbow, you must use it to shoot any obstacles or hostile enemies that get in the way of your companions as they traverse the screen from left to right.
The landscape varies greatly across each level, posing diverse dangers such as scorpions in deserts, hostile monkeys in jungles, and even a heavily guarded castle. With each member of your party being unarmed, you must protect them using your crossbow skills. The journey begins with two friends by your side, with additional companions joining once certain parts of the game are cleared.
As your companions make their way across the screen, they will inevitably encounter the various obstacles and enemies. If any of them fall to their demise, the game will come to an end. Your objective is to keep all members of your party alive as you progress through the challenging landscapes and ultimately reach the castle.
Crossbow was released in 1989 for the Atari 7800 console, offering a thrilling experience for players who enjoy action-packed gameplay with a light gun controller.
