About

Originally established as CyberConnect in 1996, the studio rebranded as CyberConnect2 in 2001. They are well-known for creating the .hack franchise, the Little Tail Bronx series starting with Tail Concerto, and numerous anime-based fighting games.
Led by CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama, the studio's early portfolio on the PlayStation console established its reputation for cinematic action and distinct character designs. The developer debuted with the 3D platformer Tail Concerto (1998), which received a Tail Concerto Demo CD (1999) and subsequent regional releases of Tail Concerto (1999). This was followed by the fast-paced, explosive action game Silent Bomber (1999), which saw further international releases as Silent Bomber (2000).
Transitioning into the PlayStation 2 era, the company expanded its narrative ambitions. They developed the action role-playing game *.
