The Sega Mega CD edition of Cosmic Fantasy Stories brings two PC Engine (TurboGrafx) CD games to life: Cosmic Fantasy: Bōken Shōnen Yū and Cosmic Fantasy 2 . The updated version features enhanced graphics and music, with noticeable improvements in the first installment.
The gameplay has been revamped, allowing previously passive characters to join battles and increasing the number of enemies encountered. However, boss battles have become easier in the first game, while Cosmic Fantasy 2 sees a higher difficulty level due to new enemy techniques that inflict status ailments on players.
Cosmic Fantasy Stories was released on March 27th, 1992 for the Sega Mega CD.
