On the field, you have access to 24 predefined plays that can be chosen from for both offense and defense. If unsure about which play to use, the option "Joe's Play" is available as a hint for inexperienced coaches. The gameplay style is similar to classic arcade games, with no coaching options or player statistics.

During gameplay, you can control any defensive player or choose one of four offensive roles: quarterback, receiver, running back, or kicker.
