Joe Montana Football

The gameplay is all about controlling your on-screen player as they try to run up the field. Once downed, you'll be presented with a play selection screen where you can choose from 17 preset plays, punt, attempt a field goal, or attempt a turnover. Joe Montana often provides tips on the best play to make, which will default to if needed.

In game mode, you'll control your quarterback and throw passes to receivers, or try to run with them. When play changes hands, you'll become a defender and have six defensive plays to choose from, including turnovers. In two-player mode, the gameplay is similar to single-player but against an opponent instead of the computer.
