Metropolis takes you into a futuristic city thrown into chaos after a nuclear disaster. In this world where only the strongest survive, you play as Geitor, tasked with restoring peace. Armed with sword and shield, you battle through the city streets on your way to the Townsman's headquarters to spark a revolt. Your ultimate mission is to destroy the five nuclear tanks held by the city's villains. Along the way, three groups of enemies stand in your path: the Warriors of Death, master sword-and-shield fighters like yourself; the Dartfire, grotesque mutants hurling fireballs; and the Girlkiller, a gang of deadly yet alluring women.
