Mario Clash is essentially a single-player sequel to Mario Bros. , building upon its predecessor's gameplay with additional features and changes. The goal remains the same: clear a screen of enemies and move on to the next level. However, rather than doing this by flipping an enemy upside-down from underneath and kicking them away, you throw shells at them.
In Mario Clash , you'll need to navigate through levels using pipes to travel between a front area and a back area, which are accessible due to the Virtual Boy's added depth. Shells can be thrown at enemies on either depth area, adding a new layer of strategy to the gameplay.
Mario Clash was released for the Virtual Boy console on September 28th , 1995, and is classified as an Arcade game.
