Dungeon Customization Options
Poison Strength ranges from Annoying to Lethal. This option determines how much damage a poison inflicts and how frequently it occurs.
Food Availability ranges from Starving to Stuffed. Since even a paladin can work up an appetite after facing screaming banshees, this setting decides if your dungeon resembles a well-stocked larder or an empty cupboard.
Monster Theme allows you to determine what type of monsters you want to encounter.
Trap Frequency ranges from Few to Too Many. This setting dictates how many traps your adventurer must overcome to reach the final level.
Potion Availability ranges from Some to Tons. This option determines the number of potions you encounter during your adventure.
Dungeon Generation Seed
Each game "seeds" itself during play, creating a code that can recreate the specific dungeon or game environment. These codes are called dungeon generation seeds.
At the dungeon customization screen, you can enter a previous seed to replay the same dungeon. Alternatively, entering any nine-character code generates a completely different dungeon.
Difficulty Settings
Easy, Moderate, and Hard settings are available on the game customization screen. Highlighting any of these options and pressing the A button adjusts all screen settings to reflect the programmer's idea of that difficulty level.
Before choosing, you may wish to review the option settings for your selected difficulty. Once you understand what "Easy," "Moderate," and "Hard" imply, you can save time by simply highlighting an option and pressing A.
After customizing the game to your tastes, move the highlight to PLAY to begin the adventure.
