Barnyard Blaster is a shooting gallery type game for use with the Atari 7800 console. There are three levels plus one bonus level. Your goal is to rid your farm of vermin by shooting targets in each of three levels. Between each level you'll play Gramps' bonus screen where you can brush up on your shooting.

Your aim is to eliminate as many animals as possible within the time limit, while also improving your skills and progressing through the game's challenging levels. If you achieve a certain percentage of shooting accuracy in each level, you'll be able to proceed to the next one. At the end of the game, you'll receive a ranking based on how well you performed.
