NFL Football is an officially licensed NFL American football game. The game is played by holding the Lynx vertically and features zooming and scaling graphical capabilities, with an overhead, top-down view. Games are divided into four 15-minute quarters and contain around 25 offensive plays. Passing is done by holding down the B button and then moving a cross-hair to an open receiver, before releasing the button to throw.

Gameplay involves using different strategies in real-time, with the option to make changes mid-game. Two players can compete against each other head-to-head using the ComLynx cable.
