Xenoblade Chronicles 2

The world of Alrest is comprised of giant beasts known as Titans, who roam a sea of clouds surrounding the World Tree. The people living on these Titans have formed a unique society where Blades, powerful life forms, are bonded to their summoners until death occurs. When Rex's salvaging job goes awry, he becomes bonded to Pyra, a legendary Blade named Aegis. In exchange for saving his life, Rex promises to take Pyra to Elysium, a fabled land atop the World Tree. However, Pyra's immense power and historical significance have made her a target for various factions seeking control over her.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an open-world action RPG where players can explore, complete quests, and engage in combat with a party of up to three Drivers, each paired with one of their Blades. The Blades grant unique abilities and powers to their Drivers, who must strategically assign them to achieve optimal synergy. Each Blade has its own strengths, weaknesses, and stat bonuses, making the player's decisions crucial to success.

Blades can be obtained through various means, including random summons from Core Crystals, bonding with a specific Driver, or completing sidequests. Some Blades have unique abilities and personalities, while others are more generic. Players can send disengaged Blades on Mercenary Missions, which allow them to develop their skills and gather items for the party.

The world of Alrest consists of wilderness areas where monsters roam, as well as towns with shops and facilities. As players interact with Titans' inhabitants, the Titan's level of development increases, resulting in discounts in shops and new Mercenary Missions becoming available. The player can also form trade agreements between different Titans, leading to the discovery of new items.
