The sequel to Zool 2 sees the titular character take on the bad guys Mental Block and Krool across 6 levels divided into 16 stages. The Amiga CD32 version contains an extra level, Paper Plains, with three additional stages. Players control Zool or his girlfriend Zooz as they rampage through various levels, collecting treats, shooting enemies, and finding bonuses.

Zool 2 is a platform game where you control the Ninja of the Nth Dimension (or Zooz) as he navigates through levels, collecting tokens within an allocated time limit. New to the sequel are Zool's ability to scale walls and his spinning attacks. Hidden areas abound, including a bonus Breakout game featuring Zool's pet wonderdog Zoon.
