The Humans is an action puzzle game where your goal is to help prehistoric man evolve by discovering tools and other essential items. The story follows the journey of early humans as they progress through different levels, each with its own unique task or objective. As you guide these early humans, you'll need to work together to overcome obstacles and complete challenges.

The gameplay of The Humans is similar to classic puzzle games like Lode Runner and Lemmings. You'll control a group of characters as they move around a scrolling puzzle, switching between them to accomplish tasks. The game requires teamwork and strategy to succeed, as you work together to find objects, reach destinations, or complete other challenges within a limited time frame.
