Title Screen
If you've never played on Game Boy Advance before, you'll only be able to select New Game the first time you play Metadeko Box. If you've already played, select the 'Continuer' option so you can resume your campaign.
Multi-Player Mode
Nothing's more intense than mixing it up with another human opponent in challenging multiplayer matches via the Game Boy Advance® Game Link™ Cable. This game pack includes a multiplayer mode that can support 2-4 players (includes cable, excludes Game Boy Advance).
You can link up to multiplayer Robotic battles by connecting and using Game Boy Advance and Metadeko games on the Game Boy Advance® Game Link™ Cable. You can even play against other players using different versions on Metadeko A3 for Game Boy Advance.
Trade Mode
You would trade bots and holes to collect every Metadeko, but Trade Mode allows you to find the best in trading with other players. Connect two Metadeko A3 games to the Game Boy Advance® Game Link™ Cable. Trade mode allows you to trade specific Metadekos or modify the stats of the trades in a fair.
Metadekos Setup
Here you configure your Metadeko to make the difference between an easy Robotic and one that's nearly impossible to win. Two important pre-battle factors to consider are the types of weapons used by your opponents and the press environment. You can select the type of weapon used by the bots.
Choose Your Team
Press Select at the Team Formation menu to swap role between leader and partner. You always control the leader Metadeko. Typically the leader carries the best weapons and the partner provides support with secondary weapons and equipment that can help repair damaged equipment.
If you wish, you can choose to have two Mule or Finales Ten-pots. Do this by either selecting “Ladder” or “Partner” then highlight the Metadeko and press “A” to change the Ten-pot from Mule to Finales.
Medals
Medals have different functions, but all are considered the brain and soul of a Medabot. As a Medabot gains experience, the equipped Medal grows more powerful. The Medal that you select for each Medabot should empower its performance in a particular field. For example, recovery powers of the Miracle Medal would be used to shut away your rivals with your Medabots.
Panel Selection
Panels are special tactical programs assigned to the partner. To access the Panel menu, press Start at the Medal Selection screen or when a Medabot is highlighted at the Team Formation screen.
Panels contain instructions that tell the partner what to do during a battle. You can assign up to five panels at a time. The assigned tactics do not contradict the instructions that you have already selected.
Choosing Your Medaparts
To assign or change Medaparts, highlight a Medabot at the Team Formation menu and press the A Button. Use the Control Pad to scroll through your Medaparts. After you reach the action screen, if you want to use the effect that each weapon has.
Keep in mind that weapons have different rates of fire and some weapons need to be charged by holding a button. Some weapons will also stop or hit more than just one target by tapping the button repeatedly. You should use different arm weapons with varied fire rates and ranges so you can handle all situations.
