The 2003 release of Peter Pan , the Game Boy Advance game, shares its title with the 1953 Disney movie. However, the game's storyline differs from the film. In this version, players take on the role of Peter Pan and must rescue Tinkerbell, who has been captured by Captain Hook. Without Tinkerbell, Peter Pan cannot fly unless he grabs pixie dust.

In this action-adventure game, players control Peter Pan as he escorts Wendy's children to Never Land and must rescue their captured friends and Tinker Bell from the villainous Captain Hook. The gameplay involves exploring London and the island while overcoming obstacles and battling pirates. Without Tinker Bell's magic, players must find special items to restore Peter's powers and save the day.
Story
Hook's Evil Plan
Peter returns to London to visit his friend, Wendy, and her children, Jane and Danny. He winds up taking the children back to Never Land for a visit of their own.
However, evil Captain Hook kidnaps Tinker Bell when they arrive. The Lost Boys are missing too, and Peter risks losing Jane and Danny if he isn't careful. Without Tinker Bell, Peter loses his magical powers, making even simple tricks like flying difficult.
Gameplay Overview
You'll control Peter Pan as he explores London and Never Land. You must help him defeat Hook and free Tink, Jane, Danny, and the Lost Boys held captive throughout the island. You may even find yourself battling pirates on the dreaded ship Jolly Roger.
There are lots of places to explore and plenty of obstacles to overcome. You will discover special items to help Peter in his adventure, though getting through Never Land is trickier than it looks. Always keep an eye out for Captain Hook's pirate crew, as you never know where they are hiding.

How to Play
THE TITLE SCREEN
After the legal information, you'll see a picture of Never Land. Press START to open the Main Menu.
THE MAIN MENU
Use Control Pad Up and Down to highlight New Game, Continue Game, or Options, and press A Button or START to select.

New Game: Starts a new game.
•
Continue Game: Select this to begin where you left off by entering a password. Use the Control Pad to highlight letters and the A Button to select. Passwords are given whenever you complete the levels in a particular location (London, Mermaid Lagoon, etc.).
•
Options: Change various game settings.
Options Menu
You change several game settings from this menu. Use Control Pad Up and Down to select an option to adjust. When you have finished, press the B Button to return to the Main Menu.
•
MUSIC: Set the background music volume from Off to 100%.
•
SOUND EFFECTS: Set the sound effects volume from Off to 100%.
•
DIFFICULTY: Toggle between Normal or Hard.
•
CONTINUES: Choose between 3 or 5. More continues will give you more chances to complete a level.
Tips & Maps
FLYING
To fly, jump and press the A Button again to consume Pixie Dust from the Flight Bar, using the Control Pad to steer. Press A to stop flying, and collect hidden Pixie Dust Pots to replenish the bar after it drains.
DEFEATING ENEMIES
Captain Hook's pirates and various creatures like crocodiles, dogs, and monkeys will block your path or guard items you need. You must overcome these obstacles to rescue friends and find the treasure.
HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT
Press and hold L to enter Close Combat Mode, then tap B to swipe enemies with your knife. Use the Control Pad to direct left, right, or up attacks.
Knife Throwing
Tap B to throw a knife, which always returns to Peter. Practice dodging knives thrown by enemies while you throw.
Bum Bash
Leap into the air and press Control Pad Down during the jump to land on and knock out an enemy.
Throwing Objects
Press R to pick up an object like a flowerpot, then tap R to throw it. Hold Control Pad Up while throwing to change the arc. Note: You cannot jump, fly, climb, or use your sword while holding an object.
BONUS GAMES
Find 3 hidden Pan Pipes in each location to unlock a special Bonus Game after completing all levels in that area. Succeeding earns an extra life.
FLIGHT
Collect pots of Pixie Dust to stay airborne. Avoid parrots, which reduce your dust, and cannonballs, which knock you out of the sky.
CANNONBALL FIRING
Use the Control Pad to aim and hold A to fire cannonballs. The longer you hold A, the stronger the shot. You have 10 shots to clear pirates from the beach.
Items & Weapons
Feathers
Collect 35 Feathers in a level to earn an extra life.
Pixie Dust
Collect pots of magical Pixie Dust to fill Peter's Flight Bar for flying; Purple Pots add a small amount while Gold Pots fill the bar completely.
Hearts
Found throughout Never Land, each Heart restores Peter's Life Bar to 100% health.
Gold Hearts
Gold Hearts increase the length of Peter's Life Bar, raising his maximum possible health.
Pan Pipes
Three Pan Pipes are hidden in each location, and collecting all of them unlocks special Bonus Games.
Movie Reels
There are four hidden Movie Reels that open movie clips from the game, which can be watched anytime from the Main Menu.
Enemies & Characters
Peter Pan
Peter Pan will need to use every clever trick he knows to rescue his friends and beat Captain Hook to the Treasure.
Tinker Bell
Peter Pan's best friend. If anything happens to her, Peter will lose his magical powers.
Lost Boys
The Lost Boys kidnapped by Captain Hook are hidden throughout Never Land. Find them to learn bits of information they have learned while held captive.
Captain Hook
Evil Captain Hook is up to his usual evil ways in Never Land. It's up to you to help Peter Pan defeat him in a final duel at treacherous Skull Rock.
Captain Hook's Crew
Captain Hook's Crew will try every nasty trick they can think of to stop Peter Pan and Tinker Bell from reaching the Treasure before Captain Hook does.
Boss Pirate
All of the pirates are dangerous but keep your eye out for this scurvy dog. He knows where to find Hook, and you'll have to defeat him to find out.
Tic Toc Croc
You'll have a tough time defeating this angry crocodile, but don't give up. Try to get his alarm clock because you never know when it will come in handy.
