Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 is an enhanced re-release of Super Mario Bros. 3. The two most obvious changes are the updated graphics (based on the version in Super Mario All-Stars) and the replacement of Mario Bros. with the remake version included in all Mario Advance titles.
Additionally, there are a number of smaller changes, such as an additional starting cutscene, various gameplay adjustments, some redesigned levels to fit the screen size, and added voice acting.
Gameplay is where things get more interesting. The game features all 8 worlds from Super Mario Bros. 3 , each with its own unique set of challenges and obstacles. The gameplay itself is fairly standard platforming fare, with an emphasis on exploration and power-ups to aid in progress.
The controls are responsive and the gameplay is well-paced, making for a fun and challenging experience. However, some players may find that the game's difficulty level can be quite high, especially in certain areas.
