Qix is an action and adventure game for the Commodore 64 where you guide a marker which must draw rectangles and other objects in order to claim your territory. You can either draw these rectangles fast or slow, with drawing them slowly awarding you more points. As you draw, you need to watch out for Qix, a series of colored lines that crawl the screen, as well as Sparks who travel around the border and The Fuse, who travels along the line you're drawing.
Gameplay involves navigating the marker around the screen while avoiding obstacles and claiming territory. You can only draw in one direction at a time, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game. With each level completed, you progress to the next, with increasing difficulty and points available.
