Superstar Ice Hockey is a sports game where you control one of 20 NHL teams, with no license to use real teams or players. The game is divided into four groups, each containing five teams. After the regular season, the top two teams from each group qualify for the playoffs.
The gameplay involves controlling the center player, as the other players on the ice are controlled by the computer. In multiplayer mode, you can only play friendly games against other human opponents.
