Game Guide
Extracted from the original game manual
This is a 2D action-platformer where players control a ninja named Kurosawa. You must fight through hordes of demons and undead to rid ancient Japan of the evil warlord Katasaki and his demon master. Players utilize various combat moves, weapons, and special abilities to defeat enemies and progress through the game.
Story
Storyline
Ancient Japan was divided into two regions, each controlled by a powerful warlord. Both warlords sought to control the other's lands and become Emperor of all Japan. Years of war led to an uneasy truce, but distrust remained.
One warlord, Katasaki, sought the help of the demon lord Batanaka. In an evil ceremony, Katasaki sold his soul in exchange for the demon's assistance.
Batanaka sent Katasaki an army of goblins, trolls, dragons, and other evil beasts. Katasaki unleashed these demon hordes upon his enemy's land, intending to take over and become emperor.
However, Katasaki could not control the wicked demons, and Japan was decimated. The people became possessed, and the dead walked among the living.
Years later, a young Ninja named Kurosawa returned to his homeland after a soul-searching journey. Discovering the horrors caused by the demon, Kurosawa vowed to save his people. This is the beginning of his quest to rid the land of the demon legions.
