Inspector Gadget: Mad Robots Invasion is a 3D platform game played from a mostly side view perspective. Dr. Claw is trying to take over the world again, this time with advanced robots. Penny and her dog Brain have been kidnapped to distract Inspector Gadget. You must now save them.

The gameplay involves platforming and defeating various enemies, including Dr. Claw's robots and underlings. You can also move objects like crates and pick up extra health. Inspector Gadget has gadgets like a helicopter and extendable legs to help him overcome obstacles. The game has five levels, each with its own boss.
