NHL 14 is an officially licensed hockey game where you control a team in single matches, tournaments, and leagues. Most changes from NHL 13 are technical, improving the physics engine, skating animations, and fist fights using technology from other EA series.
The game features several smaller additions to its modes. In Live the Life, you manage an athlete's career with multiple-choice dialogues that affect stats. Ultimate Team mode introduces online leagues with a promotion system, allowing you to improve your team with booster packs. The anniversary mode celebrates 20 years of NHL '94 with simpler controls and presentation. You can also take over managerial responsibilities in the Be a GM mode.
NHL 14 is available on the Playstation 3, released on 13th September 2013.
