NHL 14 is an officially licensed hockey game where you control a team in single matches, tournaments, and leagues. Most changes compared to NHL 13 are technical, with improvements to the physics engine, skating animations, and fist fights.
The game features smaller additions to its modes, including Live the Life, which now includes multiple-choice dialogues affecting athlete stats, and Ultimate Team mode, with online leagues and a promotion system. The anniversary mode celebrates 20 years of NHL '94 with simpler controls and presentation. You can also experience Be a GM mode, taking over some managerial responsibilities.
