Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is a role-playing game that takes place in the fictional world of Ivalice. The story follows Basch, a member of the archadian knightly order, as he joins forces with Princess Ashe to uncover the truth behind their kingdom's downfall and the return of an ancient evil known as Yun Fang . Along the way, they are aided by other characters such as Vaan, Balthier, and Penelo.

The gameplay in Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is a mix of exploration, character development, and turn-based combat. Players control one of the game's 16 playable characters, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. As players progress through the story, they can upgrade their equipment, learn new spells, and recruit additional allies to join their party.
