Novastorm is set in a distant future where humans have left Earth to travel to the stars. However, their journey took longer than expected, and computers took control of navigation. As a result, humans were left with nothing to do but sleep, unaware that a mysterious force called Scarab-X was attacking.
Novastorm is an action and adventure game where players blast enemies against a cinematic backdrop, trying to kill computer-controlled fighters before they take over the world. The game features collision detection between the player's ship and pre-rendered obstacles, which can cause damage if the player's ship is in the way.
Novastorm was released on the Sega Mega CD in 1994 and offers a unique rail shooter experience with environmental interactions.
