Dark Castle is set in a haunted house where the Black Knight has brought misery to the land. You are the brave adventurer tasked with entering the castle to slay the Black Knight and put an end to his evil ways. Your quest takes you through 14 increasingly tough zones, each presenting new challenges.
The gameplay involves navigating through single screens that pass through obstacles like ropes, cages, and trapdoors. You'll encounter various enemies walking, flying, and hovering around, many of which respawn. What's unique about this game is that your weapon can be thrown 360 degrees, adding a methodical touch to the action. The screens are linked by hub screens, allowing you to easily transition between areas by clicking on doors.
