Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is set on the high seas, where players take on the roles of Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann as they face their enemies. The game takes place in a 3D world that allows players to explore the islands and seas of the Caribbean.
Players must battle against Davy Jones, his Flying Dutchman crew, the villainous kraken, Sao Feng, cannibals, other pirates, and the East India Trading Company. They will have to face these challenges using a variety of sword and item attacks, as well as a system called "Black Pearls" that allows them to block for a limited time.
Each character has their own special attack, and players can find other weapons such as pistols and daggers to use in combat. The console and PC versions use regular controls, while the Wii version uses the Wiimote for motion-based attacks. Players also encounter "Jackanisms", quick time events that allow them to handle themselves in a way fitting Captain Jack Sparrow's style.
