Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is an update of Ninja Gaiden 3 . It includes all the downloadable content made available on other platforms as well as some new changes. A new playable character, Ayane from the Dead or Alive series, is added with her own story mode chapters. An online co-operative mode is introduced where both Ryu and Ayane are playable. The controls use the Wii U Game Pad for tasks such as executing Ninpo, as well as displaying the combo chart.

The gameplay involves action-packed combat and exploration, with a focus on upgrading character abilities using the Karma system. Players can also switch between two characters in co-operative mode, requiring strategy and teamwork to overcome challenges. The game features various environments, enemies, and battle arenas, making for a thrilling adventure.
