Robots , released on Xbox in 2005, tells the story of Rodney Copperbottom, a young inventor who moves to the big city to work for his childhood hero, Bigweld. However, upon arrival, he finds that Bigweld is missing and the corporation is now run by Ratchet and his evil bots.
The player takes control of Rodney as he battles an army of mechanical minions with the help of the Rusties, colourful outmodes who aid him in discovering Ratchet's evil plot. The gameplay follows a classic style third person, 3D platformer where players upgrade Rodney's weapons and gadgets, allowing for exploration of various levels.
