Avatar: The Game for PSP takes place in a world similar to the movie Avatar's setting, but with a unique storyline. A Na’vi warrior seeks revenge against those who destroyed his village, navigating his way through the wilderness to find another tribe to accept him. Along the way, he masters his combat skills and befriends exotic creatures.
Avatar: The Game is a 3D action game with an emphasis on stealth. The player controls a Na’vi warrior who can use a bow and staff for attack, but prefers to hide behind objects or in the grass to take out enemies quietly. Upgrading his weapons with "Eywa spirits" allows him to improve his combat abilities.
The game features flying missions where the player must avoid bombs and projectiles while navigating through the air. Automatic scrolling allows the player to focus on shooting down enemies.
