The gameplay revolves around mastering the art of bug-cropping, which allows your character to accelerate and maneuver through the tracks. However, be cautious not to overdo it, as this can lead to an angry bug that refuses to obey your commands. By gently pulling on the reins, you can slow down and regain control.

The tracks are filled with shortcuts, power-up items such as missiles and bombs, and time rings that must be collected to add time to the clock. Your goal is to fly through as many time rings as possible to increase your chances of winning the race.
